To switch an IP address from one server to another, the first step is to power off both servers.
Next, disconnect the public IP address from the source server, while selecting the option to retain the IP address.
In the next step, navigate to Resources > IP Addresses, and click the action button to assign the IP address to the desired IP.
Then, specify the target server to which you want to connect the IP address.
After assigning the IP address to the target server, go to the server’s details view and, in the IP Addresses section, set the newly added IP as the primary address.
Next, delete or disconnect any unnecessary IP addresses from the server and power it on.
In the final step, apply any necessary changes on the server’s operating system side.
